Experiencing Internet Advancement Problems??
We have been receiving quite a few phone calls at the office from those of you experiencing problems submitting your advancements through the online system.
If you are unable to submit your report AND you have recently upgraded your browser to Internet Explorer 10, here’s how you can fix the problem:
Open Internet Explorer
Click on “Tools” in the menu on the top left of your screen
Select “Compatibility View Settings”
Check the box marked “Display all websites in Compatibility View”
Close the box
You should now be able to submit your report
A few things to keep in mind about Scouting websites and applications:
Scouting applications work best with Internet Explorer. Other browsers like Chrome and Firefox may work for the most part, but do have some quirks. We recommend that you stick with Internet Explorer in an effort to save your sanity.
Scouting Applications are not Mac friendly. Mac owners will have to gain use of a PC to do any type of online advancements, training, etc.
We do let volunteers use computers at the office to enter advancements, but you may want to call ahead to be sure we have one available for you.
If you have any questions or problems we are here to help, or you can call the Volunteer Help Desk at the National Office at 1-972-580-2489.
